This spark of innovation has been eagerly anticipated by users and developers since ChatGPT burst onto the scene. So, what's the big bang? Let's ignite our curiosity and explode into the details!

What are ChatGPT Plugins?

ChatGPT plugins are the newest form of customization for your AI conversation experience. They're tools designed to extend the functionality of the AI model, providing additional features that can be toggled on or off depending on your needs. It's worth noting that these plugins are exclusively available for the paid version of ChatGPT.

How to Enable Plugins

Enabling plugins in ChatGPT is a straightforward process. Here's a step-by-step guide:

Step 1: Open your ChatGPT conversation window.

Step 2: Locate the settings button, which is situated at the bottom left corner of your chat window.

Step 3: Click on your account and from the dropdown menu, select 'Settings'.

Step 4: Once the settings widget appears, find and click on the 'Beta Features' tab.

Step 5: You'll now see the option to enable or disable plugins. Simply toggle the switch next to 'Plugins' to enable it.

Now that you've enabled plugins, you can start using them to enhance your ChatGPT experience.

How to Add Plugins to Your Session

You can add up to three plugins per chat session. Here's how:

Step 1: Start a new chat session.

Step 2: Click on the 'Add Plugins' button.

Step 3: You will see a list of enabled plugins. Click on the plugins you want to add to your session. Remember, you can only add up to three plugins per session.

Step 4: Click on the 'Add' button. The selected plugins are now added to your session.

And there you have it! You've successfully enabled plugins for your ChatGPT.

NOTE: Scroll to the bottom of that list and select "plugin store". From there you can navigate through a varity of plugins they may fit your needs.

Exploring ChatGPT Plugins

ChatGPT plugins are additional tools that can be integrated to enhance the functionality of the AI model. They allow users to perform a variety of tasks, from booking travel plans to identifying AI tools for specific tasks.

Here are some popular plugins:

  1. Expedia: This plugin allows users to search for flights, hotels, and car rentals, making it easier to plan trips directly from the ChatGPT interface.

  2. aitoolhunt: This plugin is designed to identify and suggest AI tools for any imaginable task or challenge. It harnesses a database of over 1600+ AI tools and 120+ categories, ensuring a solution for every requirement.

  3. Zapier: Zapier can talk to any of 20k+ actions the user has exposed. Actions are single tasks (e.g., add a lead, find a doc), while Zaps are workflows of actions.

How to configure Zapier Plugin for ChatGPT

Step 1: Start by opening your Zapier dashboard.

Step 2: Click on the 'Make a Zap' button.

Step 3: For the trigger, select the ChatGPT CLI API and choose the 'list_models' action. This will trigger the Zap when a specific command is given to ChatGPT.

Step 4: For the action, toggle the "Gmail: Send Email" and it should launch another widget.

Step 5: Configure the parameters for the 'message' action. You'll need to specify the recipient's email address, the subject of the email, and the body of the email. Here's an example:

  • To: ["johndoe@example.com"]

  • Subject: "Test Email"

  • Body: "Hello John, This is a test email from ChatGPT."

Step 6: Once you've configured the parameters, click on the 'Connect New' under the Gmail Account. It should prompt to use your Gmail account.

Step 7: Your Zap is now active and will send an email whenever the specified command is given to ChatGPT.
